Who is Martin Ødegaard's wife?

Helene Spilling Ødegaard is the wife of Arsenal and Norway captain Martin Ødegaard. A professional dancer and TV personality from Gjerdrum, Norway, she started dancing at 12 and has won the Norwegian dance championship 17 times, also representing her country at European and World Championships.

She joined TV 2's Skal vi danse as a professional dancer in 2020, finishing second, then won the 2021 series with sports presenter Simon Nitsche. She later placed third on the 2022 All Stars edition and fifth on NRK's Mesternes mester in 2023. In December 2021 she founded The Zone Dance Studio in Oslo.

How and when the couple met has never been made public. After being photographed together at a London awards event in spring 2023, they went public that June with Instagram photos captioned "Livet er bra" ("Life is good"). In August 2024 they announced they were expecting their first child, and that November the Norwegian population register showed them as married, without any announcement from the couple. They have a son. In June 2025 they held a church wedding in Gjerdrum, followed by a reception in Oslo; guests included Arsenal team-mate Bukayo Saka.

The family live in London. She has said she misses Norway but does not regret the move, and that she has danced less recently while focusing on family.
