Who is Thibaut Courtois's wife?

Mishel Gerzig is the wife of Real Madrid and Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. An Israeli model, she began modelling at 13 and has worked on campaigns for GUESS and Twentyfourseven. Before modelling full-time she served in the Israeli Navy, commanding a search-and-rescue vessel. She has also joined the management of the Golden Ale Association for the Elderly, a non-profit renovating the homes of elderly people and Holocaust survivors.

They first connected on Instagram, reportedly when Courtois commented on a photo of her dog, Mylo. They began dating in 2021, and she later moved to Madrid. Courtois has called her "the woman of my life".

In June 2022, days after Real Madrid won the Champions League, he proposed on a yacht off Positano. They married on 26 June 2023 at the Château de la Croix des Gardes in Cannes, where Hitchcock filmed To Catch a Thief, in a ceremony combining Jewish and Catholic rites. Their friend Martin Garrix performed at a party for around 300 guests the day before.

They have a daughter together. Courtois also has two older children from a previous relationship; Gerzig has said they see her as a friend and she does not try to replace their mother. After Belgium's 2026 World Cup exit she posted a tribute saying they could not be prouder of him.
