Who is Luis Suárez's wife?

Sofía Balbi is the wife of Luis Suárez, the former Uruguay international who plays for Inter Miami CF. Balbi is Uruguayan; her family came from Montevideo.

The pair met as teenagers in Uruguay, dating from around 2002. They married in 2009 and have three children: a daughter and two sons.

In December 2019 they renewed their vows at the Hotel Fasano at La Barra, near Punta del Este, to mark ten years of marriage. Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba were among the guests. Balbi wore Yolancris, and the couple exchanged rings engraved with each other's names. She said the day felt different from their first wedding mainly because their children were present.

In June 2026 the family holidayed in Orlando during the MLS break, then watched Uruguay play Cape Verde at the World Cup in Miami.
