Who is Joelinton's wife?

Thays Gondim is the wife of Newcastle United's Brazil international Joelinton. The Brazilian couple have been together since 2015.

Joelinton proposed in June 2022 at a party in Brazil, in front of friends and family. That December they announced they were expecting their third child, and they now have three children. Thays held her hen party in Brazil in spring 2024, where guests wore masks of Joelinton's face, and the pair married in their home country in May 2024. Newcastle teammate Bruno Guimarães sang at the reception.

Thays shares life with Joelinton on her public Instagram account, @thaysgondim_, which has around 25,000 followers. She has cheered him on, once captioning a photo of him "Uma máquina" ("a machine"), and posted a tribute to him after Newcastle beat Liverpool in the 2025 Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
